I am a Chartered Land Surveyor based in Yaxley near Peterborough. I studied for a BSc (Honours) degree in Geography, and then took a post-graduate diploma course in land surveying at UCL. I was elected to the RICS in 1994, and am also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, a member of the Residential Property Surveyors Association, and a member of Mensa.

I was initially employed by John Laing Design Associates as a land surveyor for 17 years, and gained considerable experience in all fields of construction. After a short time working in the Geographical Information sector, I established my own land surveying practice in 1993 undertaking topographic surveys, measured building surveys, commercial property area measurements, and boundary dispute resolution.

As a boundary dispute resolution specialist and expert witness I was undertaking consultations at site, comprehensive site surveys, court-compliant reports (as per the Civil Procedure Rules) and testifying in court. I have now retired from this and am therefore no longer undertaking new surveys with associated reports - because of the time these can take to resolve through the courts. I am still undertaking the production of determined boundary plans.

I now specialise in producing Land Registry compliant plans for the sale and lease of residential and commercial property. These can also be for the first registration of unregistered land (including probate); title split where property is being divided; the rectification of incorrect title plans; and complex situations such as easements, rights of way and flying freeholds.
